Our performance team has started up again! We’re training in Welland, Ontario at The Bank Art House.
Requirements for team members
Since teeterboard is a group act it requires consistency for everyone to be able to practice effectively. You will start to rely on having specific people pushing for your tricks and others will be relying on you. In order to have a team that can be ready to perform we all have to work together and be at practice and on time.
In order to make sure that everyone will get enough jumps each practice I have capped the team number to 10 people. This means that your spot is valuable and if you can’t make it to the required practices then I will have to offer your spot to the next person on the waitlist. To keep your spot on the team you must:
- Be at 75% of all practices (this means 3 of 4 each month)
- If you’ve earned your wings then you must be at at least 25% of all practices (this means once a month) (See bottom of page to see what earns you wings *flames and mustaches do not count as wings)
- Must help with set up and strike of each practice *on time and not leaving early unless discussed with whoever is running training ahead of time
- If you are selected to be part of a show you must be at 100% of all rehearsals or you will be replaced by whoever is next on the performance list We need a minimum of 4 people to run practice. If we don’t have enough people confirmed 24 hrs ahead of time practice will be canceled.
Guidelines for Teeterboard positions
Flying – you must be over 100 lbs and a minimum of 15 years of age
***flyers DO NOT learn how to “jump” until their 3rd consecutive practice
Pushing (tower, run push) – must be over 120 lbs and a minimum of 18 years of age
Lunging – must be taught by Andralyn *lunging for single saltos, over the board, and twisting/multi salto tricks must be learned separately
Spotting – everyone will learn to spot when anyone is going out of lines
*Anyone under the age of 18 is only allowed to fly
**You do not NEED to fly to be part of the team. If you find that you enjoy pushing but you don’t like flying or don’t want to go out of lines you can still be part of the team as a pusher only
